I'm thinking of only visiting Santorini for three days. My friends are a big history lovers and they want to spend most of our trip to Greece in Athens. But I convinced them that there's no way we're visiting Greece without visiting Santorini. So we decided on just three days, what are the must see things to do on the island? Any advice is much appreciated.

I would definitely find a way to get to Oia for at least one of the days, even if it is just for the day. Stay for sunset. There is a nice walk/hike from Fira to Oia, too, which might be nice to do.

For your friends that love history I definitely suggest that you go to the prehistoric town of akrotiri
Ancient thira
The natural history museum
The folklore history museum
The lost Atlantis 9d museum.
That will keep your friends busy well you can sunbathe or have drinks.
Pm me if you need more info

Best places for photographs in Santorini?

I am going to Santorini again this year and I am on the lookout breathtaking photo spots in Santorini, and we need your insights! Help us pinpoint the ultimate locations for capturing the island's charm.

What are your favorite places to take photos? I have a few photos snapped of the Oia sunset from other trips. For this trip, I want to capture some different things, and maybe even some slice of life moments.

Atlantis Theory of Santorini - Question

I'm intrigued by the theory that Santorini could be the location of Atlantis, as described by Plato. The history, the archaeological sites, and the unique geology of the island seem to offer clues worth exploring.

  1. Atlantis Theory: For those of you well-versed in the Atlantis theory regarding Santorini, could you share your insights or any interesting pieces of evidence that link the island to the legend? Are there specific sites that hint at this ancient mystery?
  2. Must-Visit Spots: Beyond the Atlantis connection, I'd love recommendations for must-visit spots on the island. I'm particularly interested in places that offer not just stunning visuals but also a piece of the island's rich history and culture.
  3. Travel Tips: Any travel tips for a first-time visitor to Santorini? Best times of the year to visit, places to stay, culinary experiences not to miss, and tips for navigating around the island would be greatly appreciated!
  4. Personal Stories: And of course, I’d love to hear any personal stories or unique experiences you had while visiting Santorini. Especially if it relates to the lore and allure of Atlantis!
I am curious what you guys think of all this!

Iconic Dress Photo on Santorini

I love the photos I see of people who are wearing that beautiful flowing dress, and the photo is taken with the backdrop of the gorgeous island.

I love the photo and want to do one for myself.

How can I do this? I heard that it is actually a business? Does anyone have any details?

Question about Amoudi Bay in Santorini

I am covering a lot of ground on my next Greek trip. I plan to visit Thessaloniki and then move on to Santorini and some of the other Cyclades islands. I have a question about Amoudi Bay. Is this worth seeing?

Someone told me that there are some good restaurants in this area, or am I getting that confused with something else?

Hotel in Santorini with a view like this?

My wife and I are going to Santorini soon. We usually stay with people, but they don't live on the caldera like this.

I thought it would be a nice treat to stay somewhere for a few days that his this kind of a view!

I know there are some great caldera-perched places in Oia. I know they're expensive but they seem worth it.

Anyone have any recommendations?
