I won't spoil it for others but surprisingly so far even voting....and having lived in Mykonos for me it had to be Cyclades as I have been to a few...
Let's see after a few weeks!...

I have to say the Cyclades because of the contrast between large and small Islands. There is something for everyone.

Yes indeed something for everyone.....Tinos with all the small villages,the famous church,Syros the capital of Cyclades unbelievable architecture,Ano Syros where the Catholics and Christian Orthodox live in the monasteries side by side in harmony,the most spectacular views,Andros, Very beautiful to tour around, Naxos with its own old island feeling,Paros chic and Anti Paros,Ios one of the biggest campsites, Folegandros an island with it's own identity,then we have Mykonossssss.... don't we all know this one??.... When I used to finish my hectic summer season I used to travel next door to Syros to have some peace and harmony....the Syros residents used to make fun of me .... saying.... isn't Mykonos where Treli cosmos (meaning crazy or Mad!!) people live?!???

There are some great ideas here! I recently saw some pics of Tinos and it looks so beautiful. Do you think I could spend like a week there, just to relax?

Most definitely.....yes the nicest decision if you make stay away from the July/August period..... You can see Syros and Mykonos from there.... since you want to just relax and get a little bored you can hop on the the ferry to Syros and make a day out of it there... This is how easy it would be if decided to go to Syros,step out the ferry,step on a bus just waiting outside the port... choose your beach....Vari,Azolimnos (smaller cute vevery

Summer Island Hopping Tips - a Month in July

It’s been a while since I’ve traveled in Greece during peak season, and I’m considering spending about a month there in July. The plan is to split my time between Athens (to visit friends) and hopping to several islands. I’m excited about the energy of summer, but I’m also aware that July can be intense in terms of crowds, heat, and logistics.

For those who have done island hopping in high season, what worked well for you? Is it better to base yourself on one or two islands and take short trips, or fully move around every few days? How far in advance do you typically book ferries and accommodations in July?

I’m also curious about pacing. With a full month, I don’t want to rush, but I also want to make the most of being there. Any tips on routes, balance, or things to avoid during peak season would be really helpful.

Best Way to Get a Car Service to JFK Airport Before a Flight to Greece?

Hi everyone, I'm flying out of JFK next month for a trip to Greece and trying to figure out the best way to get to the airport without the usual stress. My flight leaves early in the morning, and I don't want to deal with parking for two weeks or ask a family member to drive me at 4 a.m. I've been looking into booking a car service to JFK Airport instead of a rideshare, mainly because international flights need more buffer time, and I'd rather have a proper chauffeur waiting curbside than risk a driver cancelling at the last minute with all my luggage in tow. A friend of mine recently used Blue Nile Livery for a JFK run and said her chauffeur showed up early, helped load the bags, and tracked the flight the whole way, so she suggested I try them for this trip too.
I'm still trying to figure out whether it's worth booking the chauffeur service a few days in advance or if that's overkill for a domestic pickup, whether a sedan is fine or if an SUV is smarter given how much luggage most of us end up hauling back and forth to Greece, and if anyone has had a chauffeur reroute or adjust pickup timing because of a flight delay before an international departure. For those of you who fly out of JFK often for trips back to Greece, what's worked best for you, and is there a chauffeur service you'd genuinely recommend for an early morning run like this? Family Car Services for First Timer in Boston

Hi everyone, I’m planning a family trip to Boston from Athens and was searching for car service from options airport to my hotel online. While exploring, I came across Blue Nile Livery. I also noticed their service is featured on Google and even highlighted on Forbes, along with positive reviews on several travel sites. Based on what I’ve seen there, their service seems good to me... Since this trip is with my family, I want something safe, comfortable, and punctual for airport transfers and city travel. I’d love to hear from anyone who has used a ride service in Boston. Do you think this would be a good choice for family travel?

Best food towns to visit in Greece?

I’ve started realizing that some of my favorite memories from Greece are connected to food more than anything else. Little tavernas, bakeries, seafood by the water, village meals that seemed simple but tasted incredible. It’s making me think that next time I go to Greece, I’d love to plan at least part of the trip around food.

I’m not fully sure yet if I’ll be going this summer, but I’ve been daydreaming about possible places to visit. What towns or regions in Greece do you think are especially great for food lovers?

Is Greece easy to travel around without renting a car?

I’m trying to figure out whether it’s realistic to travel around Greece without renting a car. I’d prefer not to drive if I can avoid it, especially since I’m not familiar with the roads, parking, or driving customs there.

For those who have traveled around Greece using public transportation, how easy was it? I know there are buses, ferries, taxis, and domestic flights, but I’m wondering how practical they are once you get outside the main tourist areas. Did you ever feel limited by not having a car?

I’m also curious whether it makes sense to rely on public transportation for most of the trip and just rent a car for a day or two when needed. Are there certain types of places that are especially difficult to reach without one?
