Does anyone know? I'm doing a bit of research on Hercules and his family, thanks :)

Hyllus is the son of Hercules! Him and his siblings were exiled but they sought refuge in Athens. The siblings formulated a plan to invade and conquer the Peloponnesus, a significant portion of southern Greece comprised of a peninsula extending into the Aegean Sea.

Hyllus is the son of Hercules and Deianira. According to Wikipedia, Deianira was a Calydonian princess in Greek mythology whose name translated as "man-destroyer" or "destroyer of her husband"

Hyllus was the name of his son, and he was exiled with his siblings after Heracles (Hercules), who was promised to rule three city-states. Hera, who always hated Hercules, intervened and he never inherited the rule of these city-states. Hyllus and his brothers were exiled after Hercules' death. Here is an article:

Favorite Greek hero and why?

I’ve been spending more time lately reading Greek mythology, and I keep coming back to how different the heroes are from one another. Some rely on strength, others on intelligence, and some seem almost defined by their flaws as much as their accomplishments. It makes the stories feel more human than I expected.

Personally, I find characters like Odysseus interesting because of the strategy and endurance involved, but I can also see the appeal of someone like Heracles with the raw physical trials. Achilles is another one who’s hard to ignore because of the intensity and tragedy built into his story.

I’m curious which Greek hero stands out most to others and what draws you to them. Is it their personality, their achievements, or the story itself?

Learning About Cronus of Greek Mythology

I’ve been learning more about Cronus lately and realized that I only knew the most basic parts of his story. I knew he was one of the Titans and the father of Zeus, but there is much more to his role in Greek mythology.

Cronus overthrew his own father, Uranus, and later became ruler during what was sometimes described as a Golden Age. He was also warned that one of his children would eventually overthrow him, which led to the famous story of him swallowing each of them after they were born. Zeus, of course, escaped that fate and eventually defeated him.

I’m curious how others view Cronus. Do you think of him mainly as a villain, or as a more complicated figure shaped by fear and prophecy? Are there any lesser-known stories about Cronus that you think are especially interesting or important to understanding him?

What is the symbolism behind Medusa?

I’m Greek, but I feel like I only ever heard the surface version of Medusa growing up, the “monster with snakes for hair who turns people to stone.” Lately I’ve been seeing people talk about her in a completely different way, more symbolic than literal, and now I’m curious what the deeper meaning actually is.

Was she always meant to be a monster, or is there more to her story? I’ve also heard that in some versions, she wasn’t originally a monster at all, which changes how you look at everything.

Is Medusa meant to represent danger, protection, transformation… something else entirely? And how did ancient Greeks view her compared to how we interpret her now?

I’d really love to understand this from a more cultural and mythological perspective, not just the simplified version most of us grew up with.

Which Olympian god would you most want to meet?

If you could meet one of the Olympian gods from Greek mythology, which one would you choose? I think this is a difficult question because so many of them would be fascinating to talk to, although some would definitely be safer choices than others!

Athena would probably be near the top of my list. I’d love to hear her thoughts on wisdom, strategy, warfare, and the way humans make decisions. Hermes would also be interesting because of his connection with travel, communication, cleverness, and his role as a messenger between different worlds.

Apollo might be another good choice because of his associations with music, prophecy, healing, and the arts. On the other hand, meeting Zeus or Poseidon could be a little intimidating.

Which Olympian god or goddess would you most want to meet, and why? What would you want to ask them if you had the chance?

How do I fix an automated workout plan that keeps misaligning progress?

Been trying to stick to this automated workout plan, but the thing keeps throwing my progress all outta whack. One week it thinks I’m superhuman, the next it treats me like I’ve never touched a dumbbell. I’m trying to stay consistent, but the constant misalignment’s messing with my motivation big time. I don’t wanna ditch the whole setup, ’cause when it works, it actually helps me stay on track. Anyone been through this or know how to get these apps to stop freaking out and actually track progress like a normal person? I just want the thing to make sense again.
