I have some recipes that call for mahlepi, one of which I will be making in the near future (tsoureki for Easter)
I can't seem to find it!
I know that I can always buy some online, but this isn't always possible - like if I need to make a quick batch and don't have time to wait.
Someone said to try cinnamon but I hesitate because the flavors are different. I guess I could if desperate, though. What do you guys think?
