Need Packing Advice for Greece for December

I am going on a short trip to Athens, Greece in a few weeks ... I have no idea what I am doing. I truthfully have only ever gone to Greece in the summer!

I looked up the weather, it says low 60's Fahrenheit. I am trying to picture it. I am usually so warm in Greece!

I am thinking to pack a bunch of clothes I can layer, and then maybe a light jacket? Does that sound right?

You might want to add a thin warm layer like a cashmere top, a scarf (just in case), and a raincoat with a warm zip-out lining. While it’s unusual to have snow in Athens, you’ll most likely be dealing with some rain and lower nighttime temperatures. Even though the weather says 60’s, there will be fluctuation in temperature and more importantly being December, you’ll want to have season-appropriate clothing. With cool breezes, it definitely won’t feel like summer, but it’ll be a comfortable and enjoyable time to visit a great city!

Be prepared for cold weather. The temperature in Athens is somewhere between what you'd expect in Memphis, TN and ATL, GA... If you're familiar with that area of the USA then you know it could certainly be in the 60s in December, but it could also get into the 30s or 40s as well.

I truly had no idea that Athens got that cold! Fascinating. I have only ever been in summer or fall. Thank you!

This time of year I would plan on the 30s! I see people in Athens wearing wool coats, etc on the streets. So they're in their cold season now...
