I have an aunt who used to make spoon sweet with orange peel.
She used to take orange peels and string them together with some fine kitchen-grade thread. Then, she'd put them in a pan with a solution of mostly honey and water, but also of a little sugar.
I totally lost her recipe, and I also forget if the step with threading the peels together is absolutely necessary or if it is just her aesthetic. Any advice?
