I have a trip to Greece planned in the spring. Mainly, I want advice on the weather. In the meantime, I made my best guess and came up with a list. Anything to add or subtract?

Clothing
  • A light rain jacket or windbreaker: For the inevitable April showers
  • A couple of long-sleeve shirts: For those cooler mornings
  • A lightweight sweater: For layering when temperature changes
  • A pair of comfortable pants: Think breathable fabrics like cotton, and a pair of jeans.
  • Shorts and a sundress: For warmer afternoons
  • Comfortable walking shoes: You’ll be exploring villages and ancient ruins, so cushioned soles are a must.
Accessories
  • A versatile scarf: Can double as a shawl on cooler evenings
  • A wide-brimmed hat: For sun protection
  • Sunglasses and sunscreen: Essential for beach days
  • Reusable water bottle: To stay hydrated without contributing more waste

I am going to Greece this year in the fall but the weather is still nice. Here's what I am packing:

  • Clothing: I'm aiming for versatile and comfortable. Lightweight clothes that can be layered are a must. Think linen shirts, flowy skirts, and breathable tops. Of course, I'll include a few pairs of shorts and tees for warm days, as well as a light jacket for cooler evenings. If I were on Crete I wouldn't need it, but I'll be on the mainland most of the trip.
  • Footwear: Comfortable walking shoes are non-negotiable, as I plan to explore the ancient ruins and charming streets. I'll also pack a pair of sandals for the beach and a nicer pair for evenings out.
  • Travel Adapters: To ensure I can charge all my devices, I've bought a couple of travel adapters that are compatible with Greek outlets. I forgot these once and it was hard finding a store where I was!
  • Sunscreen: I am not sure how many beach days I will have, but I am bringing sunscreen just in case.

Planning a trip to Greece in the spring sounds amazing! I’ve been there a couple of times, and trust me, you’re going to love it. Here’s a little list of must-haves based on my experiences:

Clothes: Pack light layers since the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Think T-shirts, a couple of long-sleeve shirts, and a light jacket or sweater. Don’t forget comfortable walking shoes – you'll be exploring places like The DOM and those cobblestone streets can be tricky.
Sun Protection: Even in spring, the sun can be pretty strong. Bring sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.

You don’t want to end up looking like a lobster on day one! Toiletries: The usual stuff, but also pack some travel-sized hand sanitizer and tissues. Public restrooms might not always be stocked. Most importantly, leave a bit of room in your bag for souvenirs. You’ll want to bring a piece of Greece back with you.

One week itinerary in Greece?

I'm planning a 1-week trip to Greece and definitely want to include Mykonos in my itinerary. However, I'm struggling to decide how to divide my time and what other destinations to include. Ideally, I'd like a mix of relaxation, sightseeing, and some local culture.

How many days should I spend in Mykonos to get the full experience without feeling rushed? Also, what other nearby islands or mainland spots would you recommend visiting? Any must-see attractions, beaches, or hidden gems in Mykonos and the surrounding areas?

Additionally, any tips on transportation between the islands and accommodation recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Looking forward to hearing your suggestions and advice to make the most of my trip!

Greece with a Romantic Partner?

My partner and I are planning a trip to Greece, and we’re looking for recommendations on the best romantic spots to visit. We’re hoping to find a good mix of relaxation, beautiful scenery, and some adventure. We’ve heard Santorini is a must for couples, but we’re also curious about lesser-known islands or regions that offer a more secluded, intimate experience.

What are some of your favorite places in Greece for a romantic getaway? We’d love tips on romantic accommodations, great spots for sunset views, and restaurants with a cozy, intimate atmosphere. Also, any suggestions for unique activities we can do together—like wine tasting, boat trips, or scenic hikes—would be much appreciated.

We’re looking to create some unforgettable memories, so any advice you have would be wonderful!

Any Festivals in Greece in the Fall?

I am going to Greece in the fall and some of the trip is open ended. This is for late September.

Are there any noteworthy festivals or events happening in Greece during the fall months? I'm particularly interested in cultural, food, or music festivals that offer a taste of Greek traditions and local life.

I've heard about grape harvest festivals and maybe some regional celebrations, but I'd appreciate any recommendations or insights on specific events, dates, and locations.
