I am arriving in Argostoli at the end of May. I am a single traveller, dont drive, quite elderly! Anyone have suggestions re trips/excursions? (Am a seasoned visitor to the island).

What types of travel are you interested in? Nature? Culture? I would normally recommend Platia Valianou and walking along the harbor but I assume you already may know of those places. Other than that I recommend the Cultural Museum and Aracheological museum. Good and easy day trips from Kefalonia include Ithaki (closest), Zakynthos and Lefkada. I hope this helps!

Nice post,Thanks for sharing this.For single travelers I recommend to go to Big Island Real Estate.Because it is a peaceful Island and completely suitable for the singles like me.

I’m thinking about planning a trip to Kefalonia, and I keep wondering what the island is like in spring. I’ve only seen photos from summer, when the beaches are packed and the hills look golden and dry, but I’ve heard that spring is a completely different experience.

If you’ve been there in April or May, I’d love to hear what it’s like! Is the landscape really as green and full of wildflowers as some people say? I’d love to hear your tips for visiting Drogarati Cave. I’ve loved Greece my whole life, I’m Greek, and somehow I’ve never made it to these caves, which feels almost unbelievable to admit. I’m finally starting to plan a trip to Kefalonia, and Drogarati is high on my list.

I’m curious about the practical side as much as the experience itself. Is it best to go early in the day or later? How strenuous is the walk and the stairs, and is it manageable if you want to take your time? I’ve also heard the acoustics are incredible, especially when concerts are held there. Does that change how you experience the space?
