The most beautiful limani (port) is in Chania, Crete

One of the best things about visiting Chania, Crete is dining and walking around the beautiful port. The city is right exactly on the port, making the perfect place to do pretty much everything. If you're lucky enough to have the ability to get a boat chartered, I highly recommend sailing to different parts of the island. It's one of the best ways to visit the island and you can make stops along the way and swim. Have you ever been?

Twenty four years and counting! Chania is our home away from home. After 47 years of traveling all around Greece, Chania has become our most beloved city for an extended stay. This always assumes, however, at least a week’s stay in Athens which is truly at the hub of an amazing country and a city that should never be short-changed when planning an itinerary. I also can't get enough of Chania! Athens tends to be a little too busy for me. I like some quiet when I go on vacation. But that's just me!

I would definitely spend some time in the port! I would not only charter a boat, but make sure to do the walk to the lighthouse at the end. Stunning.
