Ancient Greek plays are amazing and so full of history. You can watch these plays live in Greece, or in some cases you can see renditions in other languages in other countries. I haven't seen many different plays available online unfortunately. In my opinion the best plays are Antigone, Odepus and Promotheus!! If you're able to go watch these plays in the Epidavros, I highly recommend it.

I have always wanted to watch a play here. Do you know where I'd find a list of performances?

Getting Started Studying About the Byzantine Empire

I love studying Greek history, and with such a long history, there is a lot to cover. I realized recently that I had been glossing over the Byzantine Empire, which was a big part of the Greece's history!

I had spent so much time studying about Ancient Greece, and then getting up to speed with modern Greek historical topics.

How the Acropolis Parthenon Was Built to Withstand Anything !

What is considered Modern Greece?

So, I always assumed that Modern Greece referred to the time period starting with the War for Independence.

Then, Ancient Greece, I always assumed, ended in BC times.

What about all those periods in between? Is this too simplistic of a way to look at it? How do people classify all the phases of Greek history?
