I have my family recipe of koulourakia, which I make slightly different than some of my other Greek family members and friends. I use brandy in the dough and add orange or lemon zest.
Then, I visited a Greek bakery and I saw there were all kinds of variations. They had for sale chocolate koulourakia, combo of chocolate and regular twisted together, orange, with sesame seeds, without sesame seeds, there was a version that only used olive oil (no butter).
How many variations are there? I thought it would be fun to hear of some variations from you that I might not know about!
