Skopelos, the island in the first "Mamma Mia!" movie, is also becoming a popular honeymoon destination in Greece.
Everyone that watch this movie can appreciate the beauty of this island.

The Yacht is Quarantine of Delos.....she is amazingly versatile did many events in different circumstances, some too risky in serious weather conditions but we were experienced and the crew too!...In summer months we used to sail to Rhenia(Some body here was asking can they go to Rhenia?) as the captain's grand father had an old house which they cannot live there anymore I think but a place to have a barbecue and that island feeling with a handful people swimming in crystal clear waters, privacy and fun.

Not cheap!.... Depends on your budget, another option see the other one in the picture?, they do evenings and sunset mini cruising, some nice wine, canapés that sort of thing.
Or you can share with people and go beach barbecuing, remote inaccessible beaches....in Syros my friend has boat too!.. Good Morning from Thailand..

yes not cheap at all! maybe in a few years if I save enough or go in a big group like you're suggesting. it would be so nice to be able to visit remote beaches like Vatheia Lagada and Choulakia beach. both are my dream beaches

Good, remember golden rules,do not over load your schedule, don't go in July and August, don't get stressed about booking Excursions, they never get sold out...(I formulated and managed them), there is always something else to do, leave plenty of time to do nothing, remember it is a holiday and you are celebrating, not come home and need another holiday to recover from the previous over loaded one!...Have fun.❤️..... Good Morning from Thailand....In Mykonos there are fishing boats(Very cheap) travelling from Ornos and Platis Yalos beach until Kalo Livadi beach, you can go beach hopping, stay a while, move on lunch wherever your budget and feelings take you..!👌

If you have very specific requirement about a particular Yacht or helicopters you might have make reservations, but even then an alternative can be located.... Also many choices of different things going on in Mykonos all summer long.... Later on when they are all settled down in reopening the island I will try inform you all here...

Last-minute travel tips in Greece

I love to travel to Greece and I do so whenever I can. There's an art to it, though, and I am never really going into it "blind". It's a good idea to start by thinking generally about where you might want to go.

Athens is usually the starting point for most travelers, with its iconic Acropolis offering panoramic views and a history lesson all in one spot. If you're a beach lover, head towards the Cyclades for stunning beaches and the classic, postcard-worthy Santorini sunsets. Or, if it's history you're after, the ruins of Delphi or the ancient city of Mycenae will surely captivate you.

Then, we need to figure out how to get where we want to go. For island hopping, the ferries are an experience in themselves – though if you're time-strapped, consider a local flight to get you to the major islands quickly. On the mainland, a mix of car rentals and public transport can be efficient and economical, especially when visiting sites off the tourist map. Keep an eye on the schedules and book in advance if possible to save time.

Sometimes I rent a car, to be honest it's the easiest for me.

The rest of the details tend to sort themselves out. For example, you can book your lodging as you go along, especially off-peak.

Visiting Delphi worth it?

I am trying to figure out if visiting Delphi is worth it. I want to fit seeing as many historical sites as I can into my itinerary. I've always been fascinated by ancient cultures and their histories, which naturally puts places like Athens and Santorini on my list. Recently, I've been reading up on Delphi and am intrigued by its significant historical and cultural value, not to mention its picturesque landscapes.

Given its status as the center of the world in ancient Greek civilization and the home of the famous oracle, it sounds like a place full of fascinating stories and ruins. However, I'm also aware that Greece is full of remarkable places to visit, each with its unique allure.

Travel Tips for Naxos

I'm planning a trip to the island of Naxos soon and I'm reaching out for some guidance and tips.

First off, I've heard that Naxos is a haven for foodies – any recommendations on local foods I absolutely must try or the best places to eat?

Exploring the cultural heritage of Naxos is also high on my agenda. I understand there are plenty of historical sites and ruins that abound. For those of you who've wandered the island's ancient paths, which historical spots would you say I need to see??

Also, I’d love to hear about your favorite beaches. Are there any hidden gems I should know about? Places that aren’t too crowded perhaps?

Thanks!

Finding Good Food Tours of Greece?

I love Greek cuisine. I cook it all the time and I love trying new recipes. The time has come for me to think about planning a food tour! Does anyone have any advice?

I would love to hear from members of this forum about their experiences with food tours in Greece.
  1. Which regions or cities offer the best food tours?
  2. Any specific food tour companies or guides that you would recommend?
  3. What were some of the standout dishes or culinary experiences on your tour?
  4. Are there options for people with dietary restrictions, such as vegetarians?
  5. What should one expect in terms of cost and duration?
Any tips or advice on how to get the most out of such a tour would be greatly appreciated too! Thanks!

Greek Islands Food Tour?

I am a foodie and I love to cook. Does anyone know of any food tour situations that I can do in the islands, or maybe island hopping?

I am in the midst of planning an exciting adventure to Greece and am particularly interested in experiencing the country through its cuisine. I've heard that island hopping offers not just stunning views but also a taste of local flavors that differ from island to island.

With so many beautiful islands, from the renowned Santorini to the charming Skopelos, I'm looking for recommendations on food tours or culinary experiences that are part of island hopping packages. Any recommendations you may have would be great!
