Here are a few additional resources to look at with the Monolithos Castle in Rhodes:

There are so many neat looking castles throughout Europe. Many of my favorites came from the Venetians. This looks like a gem that is worth a visit in Rhodes!

Is October a Good Time to Visit Rhodes?

I’m considering a trip to Rhodes this October because I found a really good deal on flights, and now I’m trying to decide if I should go for it!

I’ve been looking into the weather, but I’d love to hear from people who have actually visited Rhodes in October. Is it still warm enough to spend time at the beach and swim, or does the weather start becoming unpredictable by then? I don’t necessarily need extremely hot weather, but I would like some sunshine and nice days for exploring.

I’m also wondering what Rhodes is like that time of year in terms of restaurants, shops, attractions, and crowds. Are most things still open, especially in Rhodes Town and Lindos?

Would you recommend visiting Rhodes in October, or is it better to save the trip for earlier in the season?

showing tourists rhodes island

my wife & I live on rhodes. we enjoy taking tourists around . so far this year its been 7 couples. would have been more . 3 couples failed to turn up outside their hotels.4 phoned to say they were ill. This is priceless. one lot phoned the night before to say they had forgotten an appointment at hairdressers. their loss. we do not expect a lot just a contribution towards our lunch.

Tips for Exploring the Ancient City of Kamiros

I might go to Rhodes and would really like to visit the Ancient City of Kamiros while I’m there. I love exploring archaeological sites, and from the photos and information I’ve seen, Kamiros looks fascinating. I’m especially interested in seeing the layout of the ancient city and learning more about what daily life would have been like there.

For those who have visited, do you have any tips for making the most of the experience? How much time would you recommend allowing to explore the site without feeling rushed? Is there enough information posted around the ruins, or would it be helpful to read about the history beforehand or bring a guidebook?

I’d also love to know about practical details, such as the best time of day to visit, how much walking is involved, and whether there are any other nearby places worth combining with Kamiros on the same day.

How do I start using a manual concrete mixer efficiently for DIY projects?

Picked up a manual concrete mixer for some weekend DIY stuff, but wow, I'm realizing I have no clue if I'm using it in a smart way or just wasting energy. I figured it would be simple, but the mix keeps coming out lumpy or too soupy, and I'm starting to feel like the weak link here is... me. If anyone has tips on getting a smooth mix, pacing myself, or just not making a giant mess every time, I'd love to hear it. I really want to get better at this before I start my patio project.
