I've always heard that Cretan olive oil is "liquid gold" or that it's somehow better quality than other Greek olive oil. Does anyone know if and why this is true? I haven't really noticed a difference in taste
I'm traveling to Greece this summer and I'm wondering if there are any Greek holidays that fall during the summer months. It would be so nice to see some celebrations while I'm there :)
The Egnatia Quarter looks amazing! (My friend took this pic while she was there). I'm planning on visiting when I'm in Thessaloniki...and I'm wondering what else can I do in the area?
This is one of the lesser known spots in Mykonos because most people focus on the partying. But the ruins of Gizi castle are amazing, check it out : https://www.greekboston.com/travel/gyzi-castle-mykonos/
I use strained Greek yogurt, preferably fresh from the Greek supermarket. Getting a good base for the dip is key. Then I just add garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt and cucumber to taste! No measurements here ahah
Honestly there wasn't much of a difference. There are way better and way more unique things to do on the island than go to an aquriaum. Your intuition is right
Nemesis sounds so interesting! And I assume that's where the name "arch nemesis" comes from. Nemesis is responsible for enacting retribution against those who show arrogance towards the gods or others. She is depicted as having a sword and scales in her hands...creepy!
