I am going to Santorini again this year and I am on the lookout breathtaking photo spots in Santorini, and we need your insights! Help us pinpoint the ultimate locations for capturing the island's charm.

What are your favorite places to take photos? I have a few photos snapped of the Oia sunset from other trips. For this trip, I want to capture some different things, and maybe even some slice of life moments.

Where are you staying? If you don't have a place yet, I recommend staying in Oia with a Caldera view. Then, you can have gorgeous photos to your heart content! There are some great photo opps all around the island but Oia is my favorite. I recommend finding a private tour company. When I was there, I found one in Fira amongst all the shops after you get up top. You tell them what you want to do, and they take you to all the best spots. My sister got an amazing selfie shop with a caldera view because our tour guide had stopped there. Her hair was blowing - it was literally the perfect shot!

Worst season ever’: How things got ugly on Greece’s ‘Instagram island’

Below is an extract from the article!(Not my opinion which I will write at the end of season)
"When evening comes, however, the crowds melt away, and some complain the island goes from Times Square to ghost town.
'The island is empty’
The truth is that the island is empty. Right now is like never before, it’s the worst season ever
The problem is that the social media are showing something completely different from what is the reality,” he says.
However, when the crowds are gone, “the hotels right now are more or less under 30% of a normal season,” he claims, and says that other businesses on the island are taking a similar hit".

Budget trip to Santorini?

I'm in the early stages of planning a dream trip to Santorini, but I'm trying to do it on a tighter budget and would love any advice you could share.

Santorini’s stunning views, iconic blue domes, and sunsets have been on my travel list for years, and I'm finally taking the leap to make it happen. Given its reputation as a luxury destination, I'm looking for ways to experience the best of Santorini without breaking the bank.

If you have tips on affordable accommodation (are hostels a good option here, or should I be looking at another type of lodging?), budget-friendly eating spots that don't skimp on the experience, and must-see sights that won’t cost a fortune, I’m all ears.

Also, if there are particular times of the year that are more budget-friendly than others, I'd really appreciate insights on that as well. Plus, any advice on getting around the island affordably would be a huge help.

Last but not least, if there are any lesser-known gems or tips for experiencing Santorini like a local, I’d love to hear about those too.

Santorini Volcano Tour?

I'm planning a trip to Santorini and am really interested in taking a volcano tour. I've read a bit about the different options available, but I would love to hear some personal experiences and advice from those who have done it.

Is it worth it to take a guided tour, or is it easy enough to explore on your own by renting a boat? Also, are there any specific tours or companies you'd recommend?

Thanks in advance for your help! Looking forward to hearing your recommendations.

Taking a Boat Tour of Santorini?

I am really excited about my trip to Santorini and wanted to do something different. Was thinking of a boat tour! However, with so many options available, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and would love to hear from those who have experienced boat tours in Santorini before.

I'm particularly interested in hearing about your recommendations for boat tour companies or specific tours that stood out to you. Whether it's a catamaran cruise, a traditional Greek wooden boat excursion, or a luxury yacht experience, I'm open to all suggestions!

What were the highlights of your boat tour? Did you visit iconic landmarks like the volcanic hot springs, the famous Red Beach, or the picturesque island of Thirassia? How was the overall experience in terms of service, safety, and value for money?

Also, any tips or advice on booking the tour, such as the best time of day to go, whether morning, afternoon, or sunset, would be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure I choose the right tour that fits my preferences and budget.

Advice for Santorini Nightlife?

I'm planning a trip to Santorini soon and would love some recommendations on where to experience the best nightlife. I've heard the island has a lot to offer, from beach bars to nightclubs, but I'd appreciate some personal insights on must-visit spots.

Specifically, I'm interested in:
  • Beach Bars: Any cool places where I can enjoy a drink with a seaside view?
  • Nightclubs: Where are the best places to dance the night away?
  • Unique Experiences: Any hidden gems or local favorites that I shouldn't miss?
  • Dress Codes: Are there any dress codes or etiquette tips I should be aware of?
Thanks in advance for sharing your tips and experiences! Looking forward to an unforgettable time in Santorini.
