When I am about to visit a destination, I like to watch video content.

It has been a while since I have been to Corfu. I kept trying to go, but it keeps falling through.

Ignore the several-minutes long plug for a product! That part I know was necessary because they were a sponsor.

Once you get through that the content is good!

This is a great video! I love that they keep the honest parts of the experience intact, like when they got to the beach with a plastic bag filled with a purchased lunch and couldn't figure out why the beach was so hyped up. It's a lot more real and honest than a lot of other travel content I've seen. This is a great channel overall, too, thank you for sharing!

Thanks for sharing the video! I found it really engaging and informative about Corfu, which is now on my bucketlist :) While I understand the need for a sponsor plug, the content beyond that was excellent. Also, if you ever need to capture and record your own travel experiences or screen content, you might want to check out this guide on using https://www.movavi.com/learning-portal/record-screen-windows-10-with-audio.html It’s a handy tool for creating and sharing your adventures, maybe you'll need it someday <3

Best Scenic Views in Corfu?

I’m a huge fan of scenic views and would love to hear your recommendations for the best spots to enjoy the natural beautify of Corfu.

Whether it’s a hidden viewpoint, a stunning beach with crystal-clear waters, or a charming village with panoramic views, I’m all ears! I'm also interested in hearing about any great spots for watching the sunset or places that offer a unique perspective of Corfu's coastline and lush greenery.

If you have any favorite lookout points, restaurants with a view, or even hiking trails that offer breathtaking scenery, I’d greatly appreciate your suggestions!

Best ruins to visit in Corfu?

I'm planning a trip to Corfu and I'm really interested in exploring some historical ruins while I'm there. I've heard the island has a rich history and some amazing ancient sites. Can anyone recommend the best ruins to visit in Corfu? I'm looking for places that offer a glimpse into the island's past, ideally with some great photo opportunities as well.

Any tips on the must-see historical sites, interesting facts, or even personal experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

Public Transport Options in Corfu?

I’m planning a trip to Corfu soon and I’m hoping to rely mostly on public transportation to get around the island. I’ve read that the bus system is fairly extensive, but I’m a bit unsure about how easy it is to navigate, especially when visiting more remote areas or smaller villages.

Can anyone share tips on how to effectively use public buses in Corfu? Are there specific apps or websites that are particularly helpful for checking schedules and routes? Also, any advice on how reliable the service is, particularly during peak tourist season?

Also, if there are any other forms of public transport worth considering, I’d love to hear about those as well. I want to avoid renting a car if possible, so any insights on getting around the island efficiently that would help me.

I am trying to decide if I want to rent a car.,

Thanks in advance!

Best outdoor experience to have in Corfu?

I’m planning a trip to Corfu and am eager to make the most of its beautiful outdoors. I’m looking for advice on the best outdoor experiences the island has to offer.

What are the must-visit beaches for swimming and sunbathing? Are there any particular hiking trails with breathtaking views? I’ve heard about some stunning coastal walks—any recommendations?

I’m also interested in water activities like snorkeling and scuba diving. Where are the best spots for these? Additionally, if there are any unique outdoor experiences, like visiting hidden caves or exploring local wildlife reserves, I’d love to hear about those too. Thanks!

Paleokastritsa, summer 2025

Hi everyone

I have just joined this site to see if I can get some Corfu travel tips or maybe even meet some other people heading to Corfu next summer.
I am 53, from Derby, England, and I've decided to have a month's RnR in Paleokastritsa.
I'd be really keen to hear from anyone with any tips or insight into the area, life in Corfu, how I might be able to meet people and things to see and do. I'm thinking of hiring a moped to get around, do lots of reading, relaxing, hiking, eating and (a bit of) drinking! Most of all, reflecting and enjoying the environment - and the sunshine! I need to take some time to indulge in this.

What is Paleokastritsa like? From all of my research, it seems to be a good mix of quiet and lively (ie. not party town but also not completely dead). Are there restuarants there which aren't too expensive? Are there any good, chill out bars which stay open late? Also, are there ways to meet other travellers out there or is there anyone on here heading to Corfu next summer who'd be interested in connecting beforehand? It'd be really cool to build a little online community, if there was anyone in a similar position, even if they're going to a different part of the island.

Anyway, that's why I joined this site - to meet any others but also to find out about Corfu and paleokasistra. I'd love to hear from any of you!
All the best,
Neil
