I am thinking to head to Greece this summer and I want to spend my time going places I have either never been before, or have only spent a short amount of time at and I would love to return.

Corfu is on my list. I don't know much about it s I am having a hard time focusing my attention so that I can plan my time. I have about five nights to spend here. My most immediate concern is, do you have any recommendations on where to stay on the island?

I would personally stay in the main Corfu Town... I have never been but it looks like there is a lot to do there and the surrounding area.

Public Transport Options in Corfu?

I’m planning a trip to Corfu soon and I’m hoping to rely mostly on public transportation to get around the island. I’ve read that the bus system is fairly extensive, but I’m a bit unsure about how easy it is to navigate, especially when visiting more remote areas or smaller villages.

Can anyone share tips on how to effectively use public buses in Corfu? Are there specific apps or websites that are particularly helpful for checking schedules and routes? Also, any advice on how reliable the service is, particularly during peak tourist season?

Also, if there are any other forms of public transport worth considering, I’d love to hear about those as well. I want to avoid renting a car if possible, so any insights on getting around the island efficiently that would help me.

I am trying to decide if I want to rent a car.,

Thanks in advance!

Top Archaeological Sites in Corfu?

I know Corfu has a unique blend of influences, from the ancient Greeks and Romans to the Venetians, and I’d love to visit some great places.

Could anyone recommend the must-see archaeological sites or historical locations in Corfu? I’ve heard a bit about the Old Fortress in Corfu Town and the Temple of Artemis, but I’m sure there are other gems that shouldn’t be missed. Also, are there any smaller, lesser-known sites off the beaten path that are worth visiting for someone who loves history? Thanks so much!

Nightlife Advice for Corfu

I'm curious about the nightlife scene on Corfu. I've heard it's a beautiful place with plenty of daytime activities, but I'm wondering if there's also a good selection of bars, clubs, or evening entertainment to enjoy after dark. Are there any specific areas or towns on Corfu known for having lively nightlife? I'm particularly interested in places where locals and tourists mix, and where I can experience authentic Greek vibes as well as some modern options.

Any recommendations for must-visit spots or tips on the best time to go out would be really helpful. I'm also open to suggestions for more laid-back evening activities, like live music or beach bars, or something like that. I am getting a feel for the vibe.

Corfu in Early Spring?

I’m planning a month-long trip to Greece this coming early spring and could use some advice. It’s my first time visiting, and with so much to see, I’m feeling overwhelmed. Family members have lots of opinions on where to go, and someone recently suggested Corfu, which has piqued my interest.

I’m already considering Athens, Mykonos, and Thessaloniki, maybe one or two more, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on whether Corfu is worth adding to the itinerary. Is early spring a good time to visit the island? Are there specific sights, experiences, or foods that shouldn’t be missed?

Also, how feasible is it to combine Corfu with the other places I’ve mentioned? Any tips for travel logistics, like ferries or flights, would be helpful.

Best Beaches in Corfu for Swimming?

I am looking for recommendations on the best beaches for swimming. I’m particularly interested in spots with clear, calm waters and beautiful surroundings. Whether it's a popular beach or a hidden gem, I’d love to hear your favorites!

Are there any specific beaches that are known for their pristine waters or great swimming conditions? Also, any tips on avoiding crowded spots during peak season would be much appreciated. Thanks so much!
