I am looking to take my girlfriend for a trip around Greece, but she's already been to Santorini and doesn't really like a lot of crowds. Is there any place that's super romantic that any of you recommend? I really want to spend some quality alone time together, because we don't get to see each other that much. I'm thinking of going just for a couple of days. Any advice?

Happy to give my opinion,I am confused,....You say 'I am looking to take my girlfriend for a trip around Greece,..... You then say
'I'm thinking of going just for a couple of days. Any advice?'
Are you going to do all the trip in 2 days and have a romantic time?
From where is your journey beginning?Let us begin to recommend you so you do have a romantic time.... There are many choices. After reading some suggestions from others here I would definitely consider Syros....

How about a smaller island, like Tinos? It has a charming appearance much like Santorini and Mykonos but it's a bit more off the beaten track. Also, one could find romance anywhere in Greece. Crete is a large enough island where you can easily avoid the crowds and stay in a part of the island that doesn't get as many tourists.

My vote would be any of these Greek islands:

- Crete
- Paros
- Zakynthos

All the Greek islands are amazing and it depends on the time of year plan on going as well you can find some of the more popular places without the big crowds of people. 🇬🇷🇬🇷

I think Lefkada would be a nice option. I also took a day trip to Hydra from Athens and it was so quiet and romantic. It really depends on what type of vibe you both are looking for. Greece had endless options.

Tinos is a great idea!

I have travelled all over Creta many times.....If anyone is heading out that way stay at Marelina's Apartments (They are partially rented exclusively by My Holiday Property Bond from UK, they also have a few apartments to rent directly.

My best memories are when they close the street to traffic behind and the Tavernas put out tables and chairs,a feeling of dining on the road.... Just magical! Trying different one every day.❤️❤️

You can find romance all over Greece. It depends on the type of experience you want. How about one of the other islands near Santorini that are a bit off the beaten track, like Tinos?

Best Photo Spots in Greece?

I am a photographer and I love to travel to Greece to take photos. I am scheduled to travel there again this fall, and I thought I would make a list of some places to visit. I am also wondering if you guys have any recommendations! Here is what I have come up with - chime in with some suggestions, too - I will be in Greece for at least a few weeks:

1. Temple of Poseidon - Cape Sounion (I hear there are great sunset shots here)
2. Oia, Santorini at sunset - I haven't sorted out quite where in the village yet butI figured I'd figure that out when I get there
3. Chania, Crete (I need some from here for my collection)
4. Slice of life types of photos in Athens and other cities
5. Plenty of food photos all over Greece

Let me know if you have some standout places/ types of photos I should take.

Trying to Figure Out Where to Retire in Greece...

I am not quite there yet, but I am looking to retire in Greece - I just am not sure where is the best place to go. My family is originally from various places all over Greece, and I do have family and friends all over the country. However, I am not really tied to a particular location. I was thinking that Athens might be the best location for practical purposes - there's a lot to do, plus here are a lot more "services" there (hospitals, shops, restaurants, etc). However, it might be a little more expensive than other places in Greece? I am also looking at other places, like Peloponnese, Crete, Kefalonia, Zakynthos... What do you guys think?

Fun Museums to Visit in Thessaloniki

I love Thessaloniki. There's also so much history! These museums I can visit over and over again. Those of you who know a lot about this city - please leave your tip choices! I always enjoy trying new things:

1. Archeological Museum
2. War Museum
3. Thessaloniki Museum of Photography (such talent on display!)
4. Byzantine Culture Museum

Aside from that, always love being near the White Tower - it's such a classic, iconic landmark.

Advice for Staying Fit While on Vacation in Greece?

I live in California, and I am used to living a pretty fit lifestyle. Recently, I have been a weight loss journey, connecting to my Greek roots and the healthy foods that are part of the Mediterranean diet. Although I wasn't active for a long time, I have found that there are plenty of opportunities where I live in LA. There are a lot of gyms, parks, I go for daily walks, etc.

I am planning my next trip to Greece and I need your advice. How do I stay fit? We are planning to spend a few days in Athens and then do some island hopping. We won't be staying in a hotel with a fitness center. I plan to pack something portable, like my fitness bands, so I can do a quick workout in my room if I need to. Yet, I see that Greeks are very fit. What should I do while in the country? How do Greeks stay fit?

I am older, but in decent shape. I can walk, hike, etc. I was thinking of heading to Crete just so I can hike the Samaria Gorge. I have friend my age who did it and thought it was a great experience. I am open to any advice you can give.
